Temperature increase

The increase on the earth average temperature is affecting different kinds of environments. We can feel how the climate is a little bit messy this days, the temperatures are higher in places where usually are not, and even higher in place where it is already hot. 

Scientist are talking about how the global air temperature is expected to increase by 1.4 to 5.8 ºC by the end of the century (71, Dallmeir), which means that we should be ready to affront higher temperatures in the future but also the environments will be more affected. 

The increase on the global air temperature have other problems attached, since the increase on the temperature usually is combine wiht lower precipitations but also could be combine wiht torrential precipiations. 

If we have a decrease on precipitations that will come accompained whit the lost of vegetation and the lost of the habitat of multiple species. 

One of them and the one best know is the ice melting on the poles. Where we have seen several pictures of polar bears hanging on ice sheet that is floating away. 

 

Lost of biodiversity

These are only two kinds of enviroments that are suffering a biodiversity lost that is observable in the present. If the biodiversity lost caused by Climate Change keeps moving forward the lost could be bigger. Scientist predictions are extimated that a 3% of the species will do well under new conditions, 9% will experience no change, 15% will be able to adapt and finally 73% will not be able to adapt (71, Dallmeier) 

Marine environment, this environment has been notice to be suffering a lost on biodiversity at the present. Since fishes are a resource that we use in our diets the first one in notice this changes in the biodiversity were the fishers. Besides notice a lost in biodiversity they have notice that the fishes are moving North seeking those conditions that are optimal for them to survive, since the water temperature is rising and some fishes are only able to survive in certain water temperatueres. 

However in the case of the fishes Climate Change is not the only thing that is influencing the biodiversity lost, we are helping to increase the rate of biodiversity lost as fish comsumer. It is in this last scenario were we can help to slow down the lost trying to use our resources in a moderate way.

Vegetation, the lost in vegetation has a lot of problems related, from the lost of animal habitats to the increase on landslide risk. As we have seen above the decrease on precipitations due to the increase of temperature will result in a lost of vegetation. 

The lost of vegetation first will cause the habitat lost from a lot of species in forest, rain-forest, but also some animals use the vegetation as a way of protection againts the predators if they lost the protection they will be more likely to be hunted which will be also the cause of extinction in different species. 

As we have also metioned before the increase on the temperature will come accompained with the risk of torrential precipitations. This can result extrange becuase we just talked about the decrease on the precipitations, well if the temperature increase the evaporation will increase also. If we have more evaportation combined with less precipiation we will hace arid zones, but the water that have been evaporated will have to fall at some point, and when it does it will be in a torrential way. 

Becuase we have lost vegetation the risk of landslide with torrential precipitaions is bigger since the ground is not attached by the tree´s root anymore. Places with lower vegetation will be more likely to sufer a landslide that places with a lot vegetation since the tree´s roots attached the ground making it more stable.

Finally vegetation is a COsink which means that will less vegetation there will be also more CO2 in the atmosphere.
